Mma Dinare Camp
Mma Dinare Camp is an eco-friendly camp located in a private concession, adjacent to Moremi Game reserve on the south-eastern side of the Okavango Delta. Mma Dinare (meaning Mother Buffalo in the local Setswana language) from which the camp derives its name, is frequented by lion and wild dog and is a favoured area for old bachelor buffalo herds which often make for exciting predator interaction.
Mma Dinare is set in a private 272 km2 concession, adjacent to Moremi Game reserve on the south-eastern side of the Delta. The camp overlooks the Gomoti River and its flood plains. Rra Dinare camp has been designed to embrace its natural surroundings. Rra Dinare is an eco-friendly camp that features the latest in solar and waste technology.
Day and night game drives take place in the private concession adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve. These are on and off road safaris, comprising six people, a guide and a tracker (at night). Mma Dinare also offers seasonal water activities on the Gomoti River and game walks are available depending on local conditions.

Rebecca Lane –
After visiting Victoria Falls and Chobe we came home to Mma Dinare Camp and we truly felt at home. When we arrived at the airstrip and met our guides Grass and Jacob our adventure began immediately. Grass was so knowledgeable about the area from all the wild life to the trees to the prints in the sand and Jacob was happy to give lessons in tracking. Our camp manager “Tiny” was so welcoming and wonderful to meet every question and need quickly and efficiently. Our first night there we were so tired upon arriving the guides were happy to let us rest for an extended period and take us out on a night drive which was exciting. The rooms were more than beautiful and when they say don’t walk out alone at night they mean it. When Grass picked us up for dinner the first night there was a leopard in the trees not 20 feed from our porch. All the meals were so lovely and one of our party is allergic to dairy and they went out of their way to serve something especially for her at every meal. A certain elephant got a little too comfortable with camp and had to be encouraged to go away by the Wildlife department for his own good which was something for everyone to talk about but more than everything being so comfortable and able to relax was what we needed. I can’t wait to return.
