Pom Pom Camp

Pom Pom Camp is an eco-friendly camp located on Pom Pom Island in a private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta.

Positioned on the head waters of the Xudum river system, Pom Pom Camp will appeal to safari traditionalists. The area lies on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. This reserve not only offers superb Okavango Delta scenery but game viewing is also consistent all year round.

Morning and evening game drives with qualified guides give you an opportunity to view the big game and night life that this breath-taking environment can offer. A mokoro trip is a fantastic way to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Okavango's waterways and wildlife. Seasonal boating and fishing is also available at Pom Pom Camp and the guides will be happy to share their secret spots with you. Try your hand at landing the African pike and a variety of bream species.

Rooms

Pom Pom Camp is set in a tree line overlooking the Pom Pom lagoon. This allows each tent stunning, private views. Accommodation at Pom Pom consists of nine luxury safari tents in true traditional safari style. Each tent is furnished with en-suite, semi-open ablutions. The tents are uniquely positioned under the shade of the surrounding trees that overlook the Pom Pom lagoon. The family safari tent, which is close to the main lodge, accommodates four (two adults and two children), with en-suite facilities. The camp also boasts a dining room, lounge, bar and swimming pool.

Kachikau Special Care Unit for the Mentally and Physically Disabled Children

Pom Pom Camp, owned by Under One Botswana Sky, has adopted the special unit of the Katchikau primary school in Kasane, which provides love, care and assistance to the 23 children in the unit who are all either physically or mentally challenged. Under One Botswana Sky was motivated by Botswana's vision 2016 pillar of a compassionate and caring nation. Under One Botswana Sky believe that financial aid is not the only thing that the children need, and that love and affection goes a long way too.
